It has been brought to my attention that a certain fabric block seller who also prints mermaid fabric blocks, has stated on her website and etsy shop that YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST.  She is stating that all vintage mermaid fabric blocks prints originate with her.  This is not true.  I have been printing for a long time and have been printing images of vintage mermaids onto fabric blocka for a long time.  I copy no one.  I print directly from vintage mermaid images that I personally own and create many of my own designs.  I find this very unethical..  THIS IS A SALES GIMMICK to make herself look important  and to convince people that anyone who sells a fabric block with a vintage mermai printed on it copied their image from her..

I do not like dishonesty.  So, I hope my customers read this blog post.  I just wanted to make people aware.  To me this is in a way ripping people off.  This same seller was called out by another mermaid seller for stealing some of her mermaid images.  She sold them on etsy and ebay.  I have an article here where you can find info on this dishonest seller and it will tell you who she is.  Look through my posts - it isn't hard to find.  She is a trip.  I wish her well but she needs to tell the truth.

Okay, I let you know.

Good night to all of my customers.

Hello everyone. We are open for business again!  It has been a little over a year since we closed our store but we kept this website active and online.  My mother passed away and I was devastated and in no mental condition to continue with this business at that time.  Thank goodness time does help to ease some of the pain.  I now smile more and think of her often with very beautiful memories.  I know where she is - a much better place than I am so I am at peace.

So, back to fabric blocks.  I have been so creative lately.  That bug has bit me again.  I have designed some of the cutest, sweetest merbaby fabric blocks for your sewing, aquilting, and crafting projects.  They are most precious for children.

It is a slow process listing.  I have worked several hours today and it took that long to list about 24 fabric blocks.  My chihuahu let me know it too.  He came and starting smacking my computer with his paw.  He is a little doll baby.  So I had to quit and give him some smooches.  He loves to be loved and is smart as a whip.

Well, just wanted to drop a line on my blog.  I am gone now to bed.  Guess I will dream about some new designs. Just happy knowing we are open for business again and it feels great!

Nightie night.

It is has been awhile since I have posted anything on my blog.  I have been so busy designing fabric blocks and printing.  It is with a heavy heart that I am blogging about this.

As most of you know, I print fabric blocks from actual  authentic vintage mermaid pictures, vintage fairy pictures, vintage baby mermaid pictures and other images as well.  However, I do love to design some of my own images that are unique and that you will find only through us here at  or at our etsy shop -  We have another website to serve you at

A friend of mine decided to try her hand at making a merbaby.  She found a vintage image of a little girl and cut her out from the waist up - oh how mean:)  Then she did not know how to find/make a mermaid tail so she sent her to me and asked me to make her a mermaid.  So, I have many mermaid tail/fin templates.  I found an old Superman comic book page and  cut out the tail.   I added and made the cutest mergirl you have ever seen.  I listed her for sale and just recently an X-FRIEND of mine and I mean XXX because she is not a desirable person, decides to make one just like mine and then scream at me all over Pinterest for all to see, that I stole her mermaid.  This is a big lie.  I am very talented as you can see.  I make my own designs.  I do not have to take anyone else's.  She is so jealous it is pitiful.  I do not appreciate her slandering me this way.

I like to treat people right but some people you just can't be nice to because they will not let you.  I don't like having to blog about all this as I am a very private person but she is out to get me!! SO I must defend myself.

I am a 62-year-old grandmother just having fun with my little fabric block business.  I am not out to hurt anyone or to cheat anyone which brings me to this.  Isn't it strange how the very people that scream so loud bad things about others are really the guilty parties?  This woman has stole mermaid art from others.  There is a lick on that I can list and you will be able to read what the other lady tells about Linda Wilcox, Linda Pulitico and I don't know how many other aliases she uses, stole some of her mermaids and was selling them on etsy and ebay!!! Here is the link - copy and paste it into your address bar and see for yourselves:[email protected]/5751314452/

You can see at the above link what this woman does.

Also, a few months ago, I received an email from a lady blasting me for not receiving the fabric blocks she bought from my website.  I wrote her back and told her I never sold anything to her.  She had me confused with!!!! This Linda Pilutico or Linda Wilcox owns this website.  I will post the emails between myself and this lady about not receiving her merchandise from Linda!!! This Linda person is a trip.  I will not sit back and let her smear me when I haven't done anything wrong or to her.  Looks to me like she stole my mermaid and is using it.

More to come.........................

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope everyone has a wonderful 2104.  I am sure we all have so many things to be thankful for.  I know I do.  If you have peace of mind, good health and family, then you have it all.  Money can't buy these things.

Thank you to all of my customers who purchased my Christmas fabric blocks.  I have probably said this before but I will say it again.  At Vintage Mermaids Fabric Blocks, we offer Christmas fabric blocks year round.  You can buy as early as you like to make Christmas fabric block crafts for next Christmas.  I know it is only January, but doesn't time fly?  Before we know it, it will be spring, summer and then Christmas will be right around the corner again.  I really wonder where time goes.

Well, we are grilling steaks shortly and my husband bought me an expensive Bible for our anniversary, December 31st.  So, I can't wait to dive in.  This is a new study Bible.

Again, Happy New Year to all.

Hello!   We have a great fabric block price drop going on right now.  Our fabric block price drop may be permanent.  It depends on our customers and potential customers responses.

We do not get political here, but with the Obamacare crisis and the state of our economy, we realize people are holding onto those dollars.  We can't blame you.  But, we are  trying to make our fabric blocks more affordable for you.  We don't want you to have to stop your fabric crafts because fabric blocks are too pricey.

We have dropped our prices considerably and hope you will enjoy shopping with us.

You know that we do not mass produce any of our fabric blocks.  There are none here laying around collecting dust.  We print on demand as you order.  So, your fabric blocks come to you hot off the press.

Try us - you will like us.  We are a friendly, family owned business.  We value our reputation and the quality of our fabric blocks.  We treat people the way we would  want to be treated.

Oh, and did I  tell you?  We allow you to shop 'til you drop at no extra charge.

Email us with any questions or concerns.  We normally get back with you within 24 hours (sometimes sooner) after we read your email.

Chow for now.

You will find that our blogs will refer to our fabric blocks as different names.  We do this so that search engines can pick us up and for those who search other than for fabric blocks, they will be able to find us also.

Our cotton prints designs are growing.  As we have time, we are continuing to design cotton prints with vintage Victorian mermaids, fairies and many other vintage images.  We are trying to offer designs for the entire family.  We hope to soon add a line of cotton prints designed with dad in mind!  These will be in a category all to themselves.

This will be short.  I have been very ill but thanks and praise goes out to Heavenly Father and Jesus.  They have raised me up!  I have to praise them.  I will live for them the rest of my life.  They are blessing this business.  I hope to be an inspiration for anyone who needs uplifting.  More later.  God bless you all..........
